Vdraft Education Support
Vdraft is a great system to teach CAD drafting with. Its
compatibility with existing AutoCAD drawings will allow educators
to use the existing mass of CAD drawings in their course work.
Vdraft runs well on standard PCs running Windows 95/98/ME NT, 2000 or XP.
Vdraft Internet Tools allows instructors to show real world
examples of on-line CAD drawings, like the Army Corps of Engineers CADD
standards library or NASA Langley facilities drawings. Students
can be exposed to real world drawings and use those drawings as part
of their classroom CAD drafting projects.
Since education institute budgets are often limited, Vdraft will
be supplied at a very low site license fee. There is also the Vdraft
Grant Program for institutes that make a commitment to Vdraft in their
CAD drafting curriculum.
Site licensing fees provide 1 copy of the software and documentation.
The licensing contract allows the institution the right to copy the
software and documentation for educational purposes only. Those
institutions that would prefer to purchase copies of the user manuals
and software will be able to do so at a very low cost per copy.
The Vdraft Education License Fee is $100 US. Grants are available
for educational use where Vdraft is integrated into existing CAD training
programs.
