SOFTSOURCE LICENSES VIEWER PROGRAM TO U.S. GYPSUM

BELLINGHAM, WA -- A CD-ROM version of DRAWING Librarian for Windows has been licensed by SoftSource to the world's largest gypsum wallboard manufacturer, United States Gypsum Company. SoftSource's AutoCAD drawing viewer will be used in U.S. Gypsum's new CD-ROM resource catalog of product information.

To help U.S. Gypsum customers find CAD-based information in the new USG ACTION (Architectural & Construction Technical Information & Ordering Network), the SoftSource viewer will display drawings, export them to CAD systems or send them to laser printers.

SoftSource also is discussing with U.S. Gypsum a license to use the USG ACTION drawings and information in future products. SoftSource is considering including the library in its new CAD system, code named Sausalito, due to ship later this year.
