With locations in Broomfield, Colo., and Bellingham, Wash., SoftSource was founded in October 2000 and secured Series A financing led by Sequel Venture Partners in November of that year. The company will launch initial products in Q4 2001.
Because mobile users' expectations have been set by past experiences with PCs, content developers and providers are tasked with creating rich graphical interfaces that allow users to intuitively and contextually interact with web content and more complex applications within the limited confines of smart mobile devices.
SoftSource's ClearView products address these challenges with a
complete solution.
Smart Mobile Devices are Internet-ready mobile devices with more sophisticated processing, memory and display abilities than text-based cell phones and pagers. Currently, SoftSource's ClearView platform supports Palm OS-based devices and will soon add support for Windows CE and Java-based devices as well.
