Seasoned COO to Drive Application Development of Graphical Content
Tools for Mobile Devices
Broomfield, Colo., August 13, 2001 — SoftSource, Inc., a creator of software tools that bring more compelling content to the mobile device, announced today that it has appointed Doug Zirkle to Chief Operating Officer.
Zirkle brings an extensive background of technology development in start-up environments as well as senior-level executive and operations management experience to SoftSource. As COO, Zirkle will oversee the company's application development efforts to produce powerful tools that translate dynamic information such as financial charts into a mobile-ready format designed for the small screens of mobile devices.
In addition, Zirkle will hold responsibility for the company's internal information technology infrastructure, field service and technical support operations as well as development of SoftSource's consulting practice. Zirkle will report to SoftSource's president and CEO, Rick Brennan.

Zirkle joined SoftSource as a consultant in January, 2001 and has made significant contributions to the company's products and business strategy. Prior to joining SoftSource, Zirkle served as chief operating officer of SkyConnect, Inc., with responsibility for software and hardware development, technical support, field service, and training for digital video technologies. Before joining SkyConnect, Zirkle was president of Zirkle Wells Software Group, Inc., a custom scientific and industrial software development company. Zirkle holds a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from the University of Colorado.
